Under the “Jeewah Project” project in Udayanagar Pragati Samiti, Sajanbai Uday Singh, a member of “Jyoti Kisan Group”, Mangaradeh, was given a human-powered machine as a trial for sowing seeds on 26.06.2023. While sharing her experience, Didi said that it used to take 4 hours to plant 4 kg of seeds by bending by hand and now the same number of seeds can be planted by machine in just 90 minutes. This has made sowing work easier. Manual installation involves the cost of labor and many times they are not available on time.
After listening to Didi's experience, Agriculture Program Professional, Nitin Bhaiya said that if the machine is successful here, then they will distribute one machine to every farmer group through the committee.
In Maharashtra, these machines are given on subsidy by the government. Nitin Bhaiya, who himself is from Maharashtra, thought why not give this machine to his farmers also.
Therefore, under the “Jeewah Project”, the committee has purchased a machine costing Rs 6000 from Indore on trial basis.
